Health Tips USA is committed to publishing health information that is accurate, transparent, and genuinely useful. This Editorial Policy explains how we create content, how we handle corrections, and how we manage commercial relationships so they never compromise editorial integrity.
Our Mission
To provide Americans with clear, evidence-based health and wellness information they can trust – and to be honest about the limits of what we know.
Content Creation Process
1. Topic Selection
Topics are chosen based on reader interest, public health significance, and areas where reliable information is scarce or buried under misinformation. We prioritize topics where accuracy has real consequences – particularly prescription drugs, clinical treatments, and supplement safety.
2. Research Standards
All articles are researched using:
- Peer-reviewed studies from sources including PubMed, NEJM, JAMA, and The Lancet
- FDA drug databases and official prescribing information (package inserts)
- CDC and NIH guidance on public health topics
- Clinical trial registries (ClinicalTrials.gov)
- Manufacturer prescribing information – cited but cross-referenced against independent sources
We do not cite other health blogs as primary sources. When we use a statistic or clinical finding, we link to the original source.
3. Writing Standards
All content is written in plain language. Medical jargon is explained the first time it appears. We do not sensationalize, and we do not make promises about health outcomes that the underlying evidence does not support.
4. Medical Review (Drug & Clinical Articles)
Articles covering prescription medications, clinical treatments, or serious health conditions undergo a medical review pass prior to publication. This review is conducted by a qualified medical reviewer [PLACEHOLDER: add reviewer name and credentials once confirmed]. The reviewer’s name and credentials appear in the article byline.
5. General Health Article Review
All other articles are reviewed internally by a senior editor before publication for factual accuracy, source quality, and clarity.
Authorship & Bylines
- Every article carries the name of the person who wrote it.
- Drug articles and clinical guides carry both a writer byline and a medical reviewer byline.
- Author bios are available on each author’s profile page.
We do not publish anonymous content. We do not publish AI-generated content that has not been written, reviewed, and edited by a human expert.
Updates & Corrections
Health is an evolving field. When drug approvals change, new clinical data is published, or a guideline is updated, we revise affected articles.
- The “Last Updated” date at the top of each article reflects the most recent substantive edit.
- If we identify a factual error, we correct it promptly and note the correction at the bottom of the article.
- Readers can report errors or suggest corrections via our Contact Us page.
Commercial Relationships & Independence
Affiliate Links
Health Tips USA participates in affiliate programs. When we link to products we may earn a commission. Affiliate relationships are disclosed in our Affiliate Disclosure and at the top of any article that contains affiliate links.
Affiliate relationships do not influence our editorial assessments. We report negative findings, limitations, and side effects honestly regardless of whether a product generates affiliate revenue.
Sponsored Content
We do not publish sponsored posts. If this policy changes, sponsored content will be labeled clearly as “Sponsored” and will be editorially separated from our independent articles.
Product Shop
Health Tips USA operates a digital product shop. Products in our shop are not guaranteed editorial coverage, and editorial articles are written independently of commercial considerations.
Pharmaceutical & Supplement Relationships
We do not accept payment from pharmaceutical companies, supplement manufacturers, or device makers in exchange for editorial coverage. Drug articles are written and reviewed by individuals with no financial relationship with the manufacturers of the drugs discussed.
Medical Disclaimer
